Repaired Camel Toe Toonies

Repaired Camel Toe Toonies

Beginning in 2025, a handful of counterfeit toonies began appearing in western Canada. As usual, they have a distictive appearance, this time with a proof finish. Little if anything is known as to the origin, quantity or distribution of these fake coins at this time.

The most distinctive feature is the proof finish. The "Camel Toe" from the namesake of these coins has been repaired somewhat in that it no longer features the obvious split toes, but the engraving throughout the core is still dulled and lacking of the detail of authentic coins.
